Composite Repairs
Composite components of any size can be repaired and fully returned to service provided the repair has been conducted properly. This involves matching the repair materials and processes close to the original specification. Repaired components are expected to meet the original specification and mechanical performance.
All repairs are conducted by ourselves to high standards and include removal of damaged material, preparation of the repair surface, lamination and curing of the repair.
We can undertake a range of repairs to composite components including:
• Cosmetic repairs to gel coats, surface finishes and mould tools
• Temporary repairs
• Minor & major structural repairs
• Laminate repairs (partial, single & double sided)
• Sandwich structures
Where a component cannot be repaired or replaced, we can often replicate the item from an existing part.
Advanced composite repairs has all equipment in-house to repair and inspected any size or shape of surface. We have over the last 10 years invested greatly in equipment and created specially design equipment to perform mobile repairs quickly and professionally. We have large range of mobile heating equipment ranging from a 2,5 x 1,7m mobile oven and autoclave to various hotbonder curing systems.
Also a range of NDT inspection equipmentto map out extent of damage and check repairs.
All equipment is flightcase packed and always ready to go.
